Riley, 3, Tenafly resident, is battling two tumors early in her life and Make-A-Wish New Jersey and Jersey Mike's Subs granted her wish by giving her a backyard play set.

Riley was diagnosed with a brain and back tumor back in January. She spent over three months in the hospital receiving four major surgeries and chemotherapy, all during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jason and Nicole, Riley's parents, said "Prior to receiving her diagnosis earlier this year, going to the playground was one of Riley’s favorite activities. During this scary time when there is some risk for anyone leaving their house, imagine the risk for a child in treatment for cancer."

The family's matters got more complicated the family welcomed in Riley's new baby sister. Being immunocompromised, the family has had to be extremely careful. Riley’s caretakers could no longer stay safely in the family’s home, and on top of that Riley’s grandfather is a nurse who works on a COVID-19 active COVID-19 floor in the hospital, so he is no longer allowed to visit.

Riley is now able to enjoy the thrill of a play set in the comfort of her own backyard. The play set is based on Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse, and Riley has named her stomping ground Riley's Clubhouse.
