Everyone Loves a Parade!

We have compiled a list of activities taking place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th. In addition to parades, there are some memorial services and picnics.



Closter

10 am-11 am

Parade begins at Borough Hall and ends at Memorial Park.


Englewood

10 am

Ceremony and Parade begin at Soldier’s Monument on West Palisade Avenue.

In case of rain, the ceremony will take place at Englewood City Municipal Court on South Van Brunt Street.



Fort Lee

10 am -12 pm

The parade kicks off at the Jack Alter Community Center on Inwood Terrace with Grand Marshall and American Legion member Joe Organo leading the way. Activities will include a ceremony, parade, and refreshments.


Hackensack

11 am-12 pm

The Bergen County Historical Society annual wreath laying to honor Revolutionary War soldiers buried at the First Dutch Reformed Church on the Green at 53 Court Street.


Hawthorne

12 pm - 2 pm

Memorial Day activities will begin with a service at noon at Boro Hall on Lafayette Avenue. Line-up for the parade is at 12:30 pm with a prompt kick-off at 1:30 pm.



Lyndhurst

10:30

Pre-parade ceremonies at Lyndhurst Town Hall Park call for assembly at 10:15 for a 10:30 am Memorial Day program and ceremony. The parade will step off between 11 am -11:15 am. Assemble along Delafield and Valley Brook Avenues.


Mahwah

10 am - 11 am.

The Memorial Day Parade and Youth Sports Parade will start at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church church on Island Road.



Ramsey

11 am - 1 pm

Main Street and Veterans Park


Old Tappan

9 am

Parade lineup begins at 9 am in the parking lot of NVOT, ending around 10 am with a Memorial Day ceremony at Oakes Park at the conclusion of the parade.


Tenafly

1 pm - 7 pm

A Memorial Day Picnic will be held, rain or shine at the St. Thomas Armenian Apostolic Church on 174 Essex Drive. There will be DJ music, a playground, raffles, and dining with pony rides and a petting zoo from 2 pm - 4 pm.



Waldwick

10 am

Parade kicks off at 10 am from Mackay Avenue ending at the Police Officer Christopher Goodell Public Safety Complex on East Prospect Street where a service will take place.


Township of Washington

10 am -11am

Memorial Day Parade will begin at the corner of Clinton Ave and Washington at 10 am.




Wykoff

8:30 am -12:30 am

8:30 am: Firefighters’ Memorial Service Firehouse No. 1 behind Town Hall

10 am: Veterans Memorial Service on the lawn of the Wyckoff Reformed Church on Wyckoff Ave, site of the Wyckoff War Memorial.

11:30: Parade starts at Christian Cornerstone Church, heading north along Wyckoff Avenue, ending at Town Hall. There will be a post-parade gathering at Fire Company No. 1 for hot dogs, pizza, and beverages.
