As the pandemic continues, it is of vital importance that we all continue to get tested in order to contain the spread of the virus as much as possible. This is even more essential considering the high number of asymptomatic cases, which is where individuals feel healthy but test positive and can still transmit the virus to others. However, since the pandemic has been economically difficult and has lasted for such a long period of time, getting regularly tested is not easy for all Bergen County residents as it is limited and costly.
"As winter approaches, and cases continue to rise, it is critical that the county continues to provide testing for the foreseeable future,” Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III
Luckily recognizing this issue, Bergen County decided to implement free drive-through testing available throughout the winter months so that all residents of the county can have access to COVID-19 testing without cost. These tests will be rapid nasal antigen tests delivering results within 24 hours.
Let’s dive nose first into the details of these free COVID-19 drive-through tests.
