EAST RUTHERFORD—The long-awaited ferris wheel is now open for rides at the expansive American Dream mall and entertainment complex. At 300 feet, the observation wheel eclipses the 150-foot Big Wheel at Six Flags Great Adventure and the 156-foot Giant Wheel at Mariner’s Landing.
The 27 gondolas are temperature controlled and most hold up to 16 people. A few VIP gondolas offer upgraded amenities in a cushy space designed for six people. The 30-minute rotation offers incredible views of Manhattans and the Meadowlands. Open seven days a week, the wheel offers general admission rides, VIP rides, and can be booked for private events.
CEO of American Dream, Don Ghermezian, says “No other destination offers these remarkable views of Manhattan, the Hudson River, and the New Jersey Meadowlands. It is sure to be loved by locals and tourists alike as it becomes an iconic New Jersey landmark.”
The wheel opens at 11 am every day and closing times range from 8 pm-10 pm. Hours can be found on the American Dream website. Tickets, before tax, are $27.20 for ages 10 and up, $18.76 for kids 3-9, and free for children 2 and under with an adult purchase.
Seniors and Military tickets are discounted to $24.38. For an introductory period, Bergen and Hudson residents can ride for $24.38. The VIP experience is $55.33 per person and included 10% off retail items at the attraction. Click here to purchase tickets: https://www.americandream.com/venue/dreamwheel
